Processing
MCBV provides shelf-ready processing services to our customers. We are happy to customize your orders to meet your library's specifications. We offer:
- Spine labels- all spine labels are customized to your requirements. We will use this to print the labels with the correct information and place it where you need them. They will be covered with a durable tape to protect them from general wear.
- Barcodes- We can apply library-provided barcodes or have them made for you. They will be placed where you need them to be on the item.
- Binding- We can ensure that all materials will have a durable binding. Those materials that come to us from the publisher with less than adequate binding are sent to a bindery for reinforcement. This helps to prolong the shelf life of the book. We provide library binding. In addition, if a paperback book is too thin and doesn't have a spine, the books are bound creating a spine.
- RFID- We are happy to apply RFID tags that are provided by the library to be programmed by your staff, or we can do some programming in-house, depending on the brand used.
- Property Stamp- We can stamp all items ordered with the library provided property stamp.
- Pocket Labels- Pocket labels are tailored to include the information you want on the label, whether it is just the title and author or more bibliographic details.
- Hub Labels- Customized hub labels are available for all audio-visual materials.
- Cases- All cases housing our audio-visual materials are durable. We can also separate large box sets into smaller cases, if needed, for easier circulation.
