Description:
Cam Thu Quan is a historical novel set in the Le Thanh Tong era. The main characters in the novel are sisters Ngoc Thu and Ngoc Cam, living in Cam Thu Quan by Dam Dam Lake, surrounded by rivers, clouds, sky, and a cool lotus pond. Both of them are talented and beautiful, good at playing musical instruments and poetry, and love reading books. They are both women, but unlike ordinary women, they do not crave fame and power. On the contrary, both of them have a contemptuous view of status and glory, mocking those who only know how to bow and be vain. As Ngoc Thu said, "I want to throw them into the lake for the fish to peck at". Both of them long for freedom, to reach out to the ocean, to live a wandering life. That longing is always present in their minds. The sound of the ocean waves, the unfinished "Hai Du" song always urges Ngoc Thu and Ngoc Cam.
