Oto no nai rihatsuten
Description:
Born in the Taisho era and becoming deaf as a child, Gomori Shoichi found hope in the barber department of Japan's first school for the deaf, where he devoted himself to his studies. Aiming to achieve independence for a disabled person, something unheard of at the time, he eventually graduated from the school at age 17 and, after overcoming numerous obstacles, finally opened his own barber shop near Tokushima City. This was the year after the outbreak of the Sino-Japanese War. --Now, to the present day. Gomori Tsubame, his grandson, who made his debut as a writer three years ago, has decided to portray half of his grandfather Shoichi's life. He begins his research to connect the thoughts of three generations: his deaf grandparents, the father and aunt of Koda (a child with a deaf parent), and himself, Koda's daughter
