Ud ila al-bayt ya Khalil
Description:
The house no longer exists, but the urge to return to it keeps coming to Khalil. It comes from his memory and from old, torn photographs that are all that remain of his family. Suddenly, the call becomes a voice coming to him from there. From his grandmother, Thuraya, and he follows the voice to meet her. Reviving memory and desire are the two elements that govern the flow of the text, as it recalls the dialogues between Thuraya and Youssef, and Khalil's overwhelming desire to be united with somebody, despite the hunger, bullets, and destruction of their home
