La vie des gens libres
Description:
For a long time, she was known as Clémence Robert, but now she's Clémence Thévenin again. That was before she became corrupt, before she committed such a serious offense that she was convicted. Released from prison, she wants to disappear. Now penniless, friendless, and without colleagues, she goes into hiding on the fringes of society, where a shadowy population works out of necessity. Among the cleaning women, she discovers the dark side of everything she's known until now. This is the story of another woman, Laura Rolin, a young single mother seeking a little respite. Hiring a cleaning woman would finally allow her to breathe after years of hardship. She'll do things properly: she'll hire her legally and, above all, she'll be kind to her, the way one is to children, the elderly, and the destitute. Clémence Thévenin then enters her life.
