Description:
In the Karwendel mountains, traditional solstice fires, believed to ward off evil, burn on the peaks at the end of June. But this year, the flames haven't stopped at the valleys. Near Bad Tölz, a car has veered off the road and burned completely – arson with fatal consequences. Before Chief Inspector Alexa Jahn can clarify the exact circumstances, further deadly arson attacks occur, including some on the Austrian side. Together with Chief Inspector Bernhard Krammer, Alexa tries to make sense of the crimes. Who is starting these fires? What is the motive? And why was a bundle of herbs, believed to ward off evil according to folklore, found at one of the crime scenes? Alexa and Krammer know that time is working against them, and an anonymous letter confirms their worst fears
