Frida Kahlo : los sabores de mi México
Description:
"The recipes contained in this book are part of the collection that the painter Frida Kahlo created throughout her life and have remained unpublished until now. Mexican chef, Mónica Patiño, selected and prepared the recipes, with the masterful contribution of her great career, to make this work, in addition to a tribute to the memory of Frida Kahlo, an experience of color, flavor and history. Most of the objects that make up the decoration of the recipe book belonged to Frida and today are part of the Isolda P. Kahlo Archive; these were included in the presentation of the dishes to be captured by the professional and magnificent lens of photographer Flavio Bizzarri. As art historian Luis Martín Lozano mentions in his text, this book...becomes a legacy of Mexico's intangible cultural heritage, which is that of seasoning and good taste for our food..."
