Description:

The little mice get excited discussing the ending of the race between the hare and the tortoise: "I thought the hare would win!" and "He should have just run properly!" Confidently, they remark that it was fine for the tortoise to lose: "After all, the tortoise has his own special strengths." This is a new picture book version of the classic fable--a story about acknowledging each other's qualities beyond the competition.
