Description:

Tsuyoshi Ichijo, a Japanese painter living in Beijing, is hired by Puyi, who resides in the Forbidden City, as his ink painting teacher. However, his real purpose is to secretly replace the ink paintings hidden in the city with forgeries and sell the genuine works to raise funds for the restoration of the Qing Dynasty. Beginning with the suspicious death of one of Puyi's close associates in a locked room, Ichijo and Puyi begin to unravel various mysteries, such as eyes drawn on a dragon painting and a eunuch who suddenly lost his emotions. A friendship begins to blossom between the two, transcending their positions...
