Miss Bee e il fantasma dell'ambasciata
Description:
London, 1925. To prevent her from getting into further trouble, Leonida Bernabò finally finds the ideal arrangement for his lively and reckless second-born Beatrice: a solid job at the Italian embassy. Miss Bee finds herself juggling secretarial duties and prestigious events such as the reception in honor of a delegation from Florence, the Bernabòs' hometown. The director of the Uffizi and his archaeologist colleague are welcomed, together with Edoardo, the son of the Italian ambassador, and his fiancée, Elisa. Also present are Viscount Julian Lennox - towards whom Beatrice still has more overwhelming feelings for - and his fiancée, Lady Octavia. But in the days and nights that follow, a strange and frightening phenomena occurs at the embassy: sudden noises, whispers in the dark and disturbing presences. The only explanation seems the most implausible: a ghost. However, when things get worse, it becomes necessary to call in Chief Inspector Archer Blackburn, an old and intriguing acquaintance of Beatrice. But does the ghost of the embassy really exist? Or is there a force of a more concrete and threatening nature at work? Contrary to what Papa Bernabò would have hoped, between loves and tremors, it is up to Miss Bee to find out.
