Miss Bee e il principe d'inverno
Description:
Derbyshire, December 1924. It's a cold Christmas at Alconbury Hall, the country residence of the noble Lennox family. So cold that not even generous doses of sherry can warm the mind and heart of Lady Millicent Carmichael as she dictates her scandalous memoirs to her new secretary. Yet, the young, improvised assistant, Beatrice Bernabò, known as Miss Bee, couldn't have a warmer heart and mind--indeed, incandescent. Perhaps this is thanks to the splendid atmosphere of Alconbury Hall, with its roaring fireplaces, elegant dinners, and the unique and cheerful British traditions to be honored. More likely, thanks to the Viscount, the charming Julian Lennox. Nor should we overlook the eccentric throng of guests, beginning with the shadowy Alexander, Julian's cousin of Russian ancestry, unbearably handsome but with a gloomy and anguished air, a true winter prince. But Beatrice still can't grasp the underlying tensions that permeate the disturbing Christmas atmosphere. These tensions will soon erupt into increasingly serious events: the theft accusation is only the beginning... Will Miss Bee be able to unravel this unpredictable and dangerous mystery?
