Description:
The story begins with the distinct experiences of each person as the deep night gives way to morning. Over time, these once-elusive emotions begin to reveal themselves in a variety of forms. Objects--such as scissors, eyeglasses, cups, ice cream, flowers, a moka pot, a tree, or an umbrella--are transformed into playful characters, their shapes imbued with the meanings of their original functions to represent these inner states. What were once vague, undefined feelings emerge before the reader--sometimes appearing cute, at other times, strikingly intense. Enhanced by the author's signature, fantastical color palette, these emotional states become even more vivid. Everyone harbors negative feelings to some degree, yet not everyone chooses to express them. What would it be like to have someone by your side who is particularly adept at giving voice to these very emotions?
