P'ongp'ong p'angp'ang orini k'ap'e
Description:
When children feel anxious, they find ways to soothe themselves--talking to a beloved stuffed animal, hiding under a blanket, or murmuring to themselves as they construct a little world of their own. In psychology, this is understood as the development of "self-regulation." Through imagination, children externalize their emotions and reshape them into new narratives; fears transform into adventures, and tension turns into play. Now, imagine a child facing a scary night alone in bed--what if, beneath their cozy blanket, a fantastical café were to appear? A place where mistakes don't matter, and whatever ingredients one imagines can become real, delicious desserts? Welcome to the "Pong-Pong Pang-Pang Children's Café". It is a space with chairs perfectly sized for little ones, and a menu brought to life entirely by their own imaginations. Here, children need not worry about what others think; they are free to choose whatever they crave, craft it themselves, and laugh even when things don't go as planned. Clouds turn into ice cream, and starlight becomes a shimmering, edible dust. Even a smoothie that spills over only looks all the more delicious! In this world, joy takes precedence over perfection. It is a place where imagination serves as the ingredients and courage acts as the recipe--a café designed to turn the worries and anxieties of children who fear sleeping alone into a sense of wonder and excitement. I hope that such a place--a truly special spot--might one day be found right in our own neighborhood
