Description:

"Mannequin" is a fantasy novel based on real-world events. The "Sports Man"--a model produced through an inter-Korean joint venture at the Kaesong Industrial Complex--is a state-of-the-art mannequin capable of freely altering its shape. However, just as production was completed, the two Koreas entered a state of war, exchanging artillery fire over islands in the West Sea. As inter-Korean relations rapidly deteriorated, the mannequins were diverted from their original purpose and sold as targets for military training.
